The En Orveaux vines of Sylvain Cathiard cover less than 0.3 ha, and the 2008 comes from that holding alone. En Orveaux is a Premier Cru of Vosne-Romanée, and the wine is a dry red made from 100% Pinot Noir. The 2008 comes in a 0.75 L bottle. The Côte de Nuits, where the vineyard lies, produces mainly red wines from Pinot Noir. The domaine’s plantings are all Pinot Noir on limestone with a marl-rich clay overlay.
