ROBERT PARKER " The 2009 Clos de Vougeot Pres le Cellier is a dark, sumptuous wine that shows quite a bit more textural richness and depth than the Grand Montpertuis bottling. There is a layered quality to the fruit I find especially appealing here. This is made from the estate’s larger piece in Clos de Vougeot measuring 2.7 hectares that Meo has christened Pres le Cellier. Meo says the terrain here yields rich wines, but the wines themselves tell a different story, at least in 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2034.
Jean-Nicolas Meo began harvesting on September 12. He did 17-18 days of cuvaison and did one racking before the wines were prepared for bottling. I was not able to taste a handful of wines that were racked just before my visit, including the Cros Parantoux. Meo is among the growers who believe the 2009s will age well on their depth of fruit. "

Domaine Méo-Camuzet Clos de Vougeot 2009
The Estate
Domaine Méo-Camuzet stands among Burgundy’s most prestigious estates, producing wines of extraordinary elegance and precision. Founded in 1959, the domaine rose to international acclaim under Jean-Nicolas Méo and cellarmaster Christian Faurois, pioneering techniques now standard across Burgundy. Today, Méo-Camuzet farms 15 hectares across Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Corton, emphasizing terroir expression through organic practices, low yields, old vines, and minimal-intervention winemaking.
Clos de Vougeot: Grand Cru Excellence
Clos de Vougeot represents exceptional Burgundian terroir—classic Côte de Nuits geology with limestone bedrock and iron-rich clay. Méo-Camuzet’s parcels benefit from ideal exposure, old vines, and meticulous farming. The result is Pinot Noir of outstanding quality: aromatic complexity, elegant structure, and excellent aging potential.
