La Tâche 2005 on the Robert Parker Wine Advocate vintage chart

La Tâche 2005: 6.06 ha owned by one estate in Vosne-Romanée

The 6.06 ha of La Tâche belong entirely to Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The estate acquired its part of La Tâche in 1933, and the Liger-Belairs later sold their vines to the estate. The vines stand in Vosne-Romanée, where the other grand crus are Romanée-Conti, La Romanée, Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant and La Grande Rue. This bottle is a 0.75 L dry red from Pinot Noir.

From Les Gaudichots to La Tâche: 1932 to 1936

In 1932 the estate applied for the vineyard then called “Les Gaudichots ou La Tâche” to be classed simply as La Tâche. The owners of the original La Tâche, the Liger-Belairs, opposed it and lost. The estate acquired the vineyard in 1933, and most of Les Gaudichots became the La Tâche Grand Cru. The decree of 11 September 1936 first recognised the appellation, in the Burgundy Côte de Nuits.

11,929 to 24,981 bottles a year, 2009 to 2019

The estate makes between 11,929 bottles (2019) and 24,981 bottles (2017) of La Tâche per vintage for 2009 to 2019.

Organic since 1985, Biodyvin since 2016

The estate has farmed its vineyards organically since 1985. It trialled biodynamic methods from 1990 to 2006, adopted them across the estate afterwards and obtained Biodyvin certification in 2016. The estate keeps whole clusters at no less than 60% of its red fermentations.
