Who made the 1995

The 1995 was produced under May-Eliane de Lencquesaing, who took charge of the estate in 1978 and led it until the Rouzaud family, owners of the Champagne house Louis Roederer, bought it in 2007. The vineyard lies in Pauillac opposite Château Pichon Baron and next to Château Latour. The two Pichon estates were split from one original property in 1850 and are separate today.

Pauillac has 18 châteaux in the 1855 classification, and the two Pichon estates are its two Second Growths. The estate’s second wine, Réserve de Pichon Comtesse, was created in 1973. This 1995 also appears under the Grand Vin de Bordeaux classification.
