ROBERT PARKER “The 2010 Clos de la Roche, on the other hand, emphasizes focus and linearity. The wine’s length alone is remarkable. Sweet red cherries, dried roses, exotic spices, smoke and licorice are some of the many notes that are woven throughout this utterly compelling, complex Clos de La Roche. The gracious, weightless finish is strikingly beautiful. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2035. It is always fascinating to settle in for a tasting with proprietor Mounir Saouma. With the exception of Jadot, I can’t think of a single maison that draws across such a broad range of top vineyards. When taken together, the whites and reds provide insight to the performance of dozens of the finest sites in the region. Saouma is not much for comparisons when discussing 2010, saying quite simply, -2010 is 2010.- The vintage was not without some disappointments. Because of the miniscule yields, there is no 2010 Romanee St. Vivant or Richebourg. As always, these are some of the most unmanipulated wines being made in Burgundy. When I tasted the 2010s in November 2011, the wines had never been sulphured or racked. Saouma had just finished bottling his 2009s (a vintage many bottled on the early side) in October 2011!”

Description Overview
Experience the exceptional artistry of the Lucien Le Moine Clos de la Roche Grand Cru 2010, an exclusive Burgundy masterpiece renowned for its rare expression of terroir. Harvested from meticulously tended vines in the distinguished Clos de la Roche vineyard, this 2010 vintage embodies a perfect harmony of tradition and precision, reflecting Burgundy’s rich winemaking heritage. Its limited production and prestigious Grand Cru status render it an investment-grade collectible for connoisseurs and collectors seeking a refined addition to their cellar.
Key Features & Benefits
Crafted with painstaking attention to detail, this wine undergoes hand-harvesting and small-batch vinification, ensuring purity and quality. The estate uses old-vine Pinot Noir grapes, cultivated in limestone-rich soils that impart distinctive minerality and depth.
Aging in new French oak barrels for 14 months adds complexity and subtle smoky layers, differentiating it from competitors. For investors and special occasion buyers, its pedigree and limited annual output guarantee exclusivity and long-term value appreciation.

Heritage & Collectibility
Lucien Le Moine stands as a beacon of Burgundian excellence, founded by celebrated winemaker Lucien Le Moine who blends modern techniques with respect for tradition. The Clos de la Roche vineyard itself is esteemed for producing some of Burgundy’s most sought-after Grand Cru wines, with year 2010 recognized as a superb vintage.
With fewer than a few thousand bottles released globally, this wine commands increasing demand among collectors and investment portfolios. Its recognized quality and scarcity underscore its appreciation potential in the luxury wine market.

This 2010 Clos de la Roche captivates with a complex bouquet of ripe cherry, violet, and earthy truffle notes, balanced by hints of spice and forest floor. On the palate, it delivers elegant structure, vibrant acidity, and velvety tannins culminating in a long, memorable finish.
