The estate behind Les Rouges du Bas

The domaine is based at 11, rue des Grands Crus in Vosne-Romanée. It descends from the holdings of Étienne Camuzet, mayor of Vosne-Romanée, and passed to the Méo family in 1959. It was renamed Méo-Camuzet in 1981, and the first wines under that name came from the 1983 vintage.

Besides Échezeaux, the estate holds grand cru parcels in Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot and Corton. The estate ages its wines 15 to 18 months in barrel, with 50 to 100% new oak depending on the cuvée.
