Who made it: a négociant-éleveur from Beaune
Lucien Le Moine was established in Beaune in 1999 by Mounir Saouma and Rotem Saouma, and it is a two-person business. It owns no vineyards in Burgundy. It buys wine from growers after fermentation and raises it itself. In Burgundy it makes only Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines from the Côte d’Or, one to three barrels per cru, with no blending between barrels.

How the house raises its wines
All its cuvées age in oak from the Jupilles forest. The wines stay on their lees with stirring three to four times a month and are never racked during élevage. They are neither fined nor filtered.
