ROBERT PARKER " Drunk in Burgundy from a French source, this bottle of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti's 2006 Échézeaux Grand Cru was showing extremely well, opening in the glass with aromas of raspberries, cherries, spices and rose petals, framed by a deft patina of high-quality new oak. Full-bodied, voluptuous and layered, it's rich and muscular, with lively acids and plenty of powdery tannin. To my taste, this is still a decade away from maturity, though it is immensely pleasurable to drink now. "

Key Features & Benefits
Meticulously hand-harvested grapes from Échézeaux’s premier parcels undergo traditional vinification methods, harnessing centuries-old craftsmanship. The domain employs natural fermentation and aging exclusively in French oak barrels, 35% of which are new, contributing to its depth and longevity.
Unique among competitors, this bottling boasts an exceptional balance of fruit purity and mineral intensity, a hallmark of its terroir. Enthusiasts benefit from its layered palate that evolves gracefully over decades, ensuring both immediate enjoyment and long-term value appreciation.

Heritage & Collectibility
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, established in the 13th century, commands reverence for its unwavering commitment to quality and terroir expression. The Échézeaux Grand Cru 2006’s limited production and critical acclaim elevate its prestige among collectors and connoisseurs.
As market demand continues to rise for this historic vintage, its rarity amplifies both emotional and financial investment appeal, solidifying its position as a prized asset within elite wine collections worldwide.
Sensory Profile & Usage
This 2006 Échézeaux Grand Cru unfolds with an aromatic bouquet of ripe black cherries, violets, and hints of forest floor intertwined with subtle spice notes. On the palate, it offers a velvety texture layered with flavors of raspberry, earth, and a refined minerality, culminating in a lingering, harmonious finish.
Ideally served at 16-18°C, it pairs exquisitely with fine game, roasted duck, or aged cheeses. For optimal preservation, store in a controlled cellar environment away from light and temperature fluctuations to fully experience its evolving complexity.
