The estate began in 1988 with 2 ha of Vosne-Romanée in four parcels. It later acquired the Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Clos des Corvées monopole in 1995. The domaine therefore works in two communes: Vosne-Romanée, where Les Suchots lies, and Nuits-Saint-Georges, where it owns the Clos des Corvées monopole, while its base is in Prémeaux-Prissey.

Henry-Frédéric Roch and Yannick Champ

Henry-Frédéric Roch founded the domaine in 1988 and in 1992, aged 30, became co-director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. He died on 17 November 2018. Yannick Champ joined as a trainee in 2002 and became co-manager in 2010; the domaine is led by Champ and his team. The domaine is based in Prémeaux-Prissey, in the Côte de Nuits.

The estate uses no synthetic product in the vineyard or the cellar, and its viticulture is biodynamic. It vinifies in whole bunches without added sulphite. The farming is organic with biodynamics, with all stems kept, fermentation in wooden vats and sulphur used only at racking.
