Robert Arnoux label, 2006 vintage

The domaine was founded in 1858 by Charles Arnoux and Renée Salbreux as Domaine Arnoux-Salbreux. Robert Arnoux ran it in the 20th century and died in 1995. Pascal Lachaux, who married Robert Arnoux’s daughter Florence, arrived in 1987 and continued the work.

In 2007 the domaine was renamed Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux. The 2006 therefore carries the Robert Arnoux name, which belongs to the vintages before the change. Charles Lachaux, son of Pascal and Florence, made his first vintage in 2012.

All new oak and whole destemming

The domaine ages its grand cru wines about 16 months in French oak, 100% new. All grapes are destemmed, a pre-fermentation maceration is used, only natural yeasts start the fermentations, and vinification lasts 15 to 22 days.
