ROBERT PARKER ” Tasted out of barrel at the Domaine. Just three pieces this year. The Romanee-St.-Vivant has a well-defined bouquet, quite lifted with ripe wild strawberry and raspberry, complemented by orange zest and a touch of apricot, then just a hint of black plum. The palate is medium-bodied with a talcum texture, fine grip, quite spicy on the entry and then fanning out across the mouth with some bittersweet cherry, raspberry, some lovely mineral components. It lingers, a prickle in the mouth long after the wine has gone. Tasted November 2009. “
