ROBERT PARKER ” The 2003 harvest began on September 15 and finished ten days later. The result is an outstanding 2003 Mouton-Rothschild, but it is not one of the superstars of Pauillac or the Northern Médoc. Its nearby neighbors, Lafite-Rothschild, Cos d’Estournel and Montrose, all produced wines that qualitatively dominate this effort from Mouton-Rothschild. Nevertheless, there is a lot to like. The tannins, which were so tough initially, have softened somewhat, and the nose offers up notes of cedarwood, roasted coffee, tobacco leaf and red and blackcurrants. This spicy, earthy, fleshy, medium to full-bodied 2003 is not one of the stars of the vintage. It is close to full maturity, where it should remain for another 10-15 years. “

Key Features & Benefits
Crafted using traditional Bordeaux winemaking techniques, this 3L format Chateau Mouton Rothschild showcases meticulous craftsmanship—hand-harvested grapes cultivated under ideal conditions in Pauillac. The wine reflects exceptional quality, with grapes sourced from premium vineyard plots, fermented with precision, and aged in new French oak barrels for 18 months.
This rare format offers slower maturation potential and an enhanced aging profile compared to standard bottles, making it a prized asset for seasoned collectors and investors alike.

Heritage & Collectibility
Chateau Mouton Rothschild, a First Growth estate since 1973, exemplifies both legacy and innovation in the wine world. The 2003 vintage, constrained by climatic adversity, produced fewer bottles worldwide, heightening its rarity and demand.
As an exclusive magnum format with limited release, it is highly sought after in collector circles and holds promising long-term appreciation potential in global auction markets, enhancing its appeal as an investment-grade choice.
Sensory Profile & Usage
Experience a robust and complex bouquet featuring ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, and notes of cedar and tobacco, evolving gracefully with air. On the palate, full-bodied richness intertwines with velvety tannins and balanced acidity, culminating in a lingering, elegant finish.
Optimal serving is at 16-18°C, ideally decanted for at least one hour to reveal its full character. Store horizontally in a cool, humid cellar environment. Pair this exceptional wine with premium lamb, game meats, or aged hard cheeses for an unparalleled tasting journey.
