ROBERT PARKER “The 1995 Lafite-Rothschild (only one-third of the harvest made it into the final blend) is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc. The wine was showing spectacularly well when I tasted it in November, 1997. It exhibits a dark ruby purple color, and a sweet, powdered mineral, smoky, weedy cassis-scented nose. Beautiful sweetness of fruit is present in this medium-bodied, tightly-knit, but gloriously pure, well-delineated Lafite. The 1995 is not as powerful or as massive as the 1996, but it is beautifully made with outstanding credentials, in addition to remarkable promise. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2028.”

Key Features & Benefits
This 1995 Pauillac is a testament to the meticulous winemaking traditions of Chateau Lafite Rothschild. The 3L Double Magnum Wine format not only offers a stunning visual presentation but also promotes slower, more graceful aging due to the reduced oxygen exposure. The wine is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, all sourced from the estate’s prized vineyards in the Pauillac appellation.
The gravelly soils and unique microclimate of this Bordeaux First Growth terroir contribute to the wine’s signature elegance, complexity, and depth. The traditional vinification methods employed by Lafite Rothschild ensure that the wine’s inherent character is preserved and enhanced.

Heritage & Collectibility
Chateau Lafite Rothschild holds an unparalleled position in the world of fine wine. As one of the original five Premier Cru Classe estates in the 1855 Classification, its history is steeped in centuries of excellence. The 1995 vintage was marked by favorable weather conditions, resulting in grapes of exceptional ripeness and concentration.
This Lafite Rothschild 3L is not merely a bottle of wine; it is a tangible piece of history, a testament to a legendary vintage, and a blue-chip asset for discerning collectors. Its rarity in the Double Magnum format further enhances its desirability and long-term value.
Sensory Profile & Usage
The Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1995 3L, after proper cellaring, is expected to display a complex bouquet of blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco, lead pencil, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, it offers a harmonious balance of power and finesse, with refined tannins, a rich texture, and a remarkably long finish. To fully appreciate its grandeur, this wine should be stored in a temperature and humidity-controlled cellar at around 13°C (55°F).
Prior to serving, decanting for several hours is recommended to allow the wine to breathe and reveal its full aromatic complexity. Serve at approximately 18°C (64°F). This magnificent Bordeaux First Growth pairs exceptionally well with roasted lamb, game meats, mature cheeses, and other dishes that complement its depth and elegance.
