ROBERT PARKER ” The 2000 Brut Blanc de Noirs Vieilles Vignes Francaises emerges from the glass with an elegant, refined mousse that is captivating. Sweet, perfumed and layered, the 2000 VVF shows off superb grace and a long, vibrant finish. This is an especially elegant and understated version of this Champagne. My preference is to drink VVF before age 20. Bollinger’s VVF is one of Champagne’s rarest and most iconic wines. Just a few thousand bottles are made each year from Pinot Noir grafted onto pre-phylloxera rootstocks in Ay and Bouzy. This bottle was disgorged in July, 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020. “

Key Features & Benefits
The 2000 Vieilles Vignes Françaises is produced using traditional methods, with an extended aging process of over 15 years on lees, enhancing complexity and depth. Its grapes are sourced exclusively from two plots consisting of ungrafted vines, ensuring rare purity and concentration.
Compared to standard cuvées, this limited edition boasts superior richness, finesse, and structure. For collectors, its scarcity combined with the Bollinger name provides lasting prestige and the potential for appreciation in value, making it both a remarkable tasting experience and a sound investment.

Heritage & Collectibility
Bollinger, established in 1829, commands worldwide respect for its dedication to quality and nuance. The Vieilles Vignes Françaises is one of Bollinger’s most coveted releases, with production capped at approximately 3,000 bottles per vintage.
This rarity propels high demand in the collectors’ market, positioning the 2000 bottling as a prized asset. Its historical significance as a vintage from a millennium year further enhances its desirability and projected long-term scarcity.
Sensory Profile & Usage
This 2000 vintage reveals an exquisite bouquet of toasted brioche, ripe orchard fruits, and subtle hints of honey and nuts. On the palate, it delivers a full-bodied, creamy texture with lively acidity and a lingering, elegant finish marked by mineral nuances.
Serve chilled between 10-12°C, ideally allowing decanting to unlock layered aromas. It pairs beautifully with fine seafood, aged cheeses, or gourmet poultry, elevating any occasion with sophisticated indulgence. Proper cellaring in a cool, humid environment will preserve its exceptional character over decades.
