Macallan Edition No. 2, released in 2016, is the second release in the acclaimed Edition Series and was created through a unique collaboration between The Macallan’s Master Whisky Maker, Bob Dalgarno, and the Roca brothers, the famed chefs behind the three-Michelin-starred El Celler de Can Roca in Spain. This edition reflects the creativity and expertise of both whisky-making and haute cuisine, blending flavors from carefully selected casks to create a whisky of exceptional depth and character. The whisky is crafted from a combination of European and American oak sherry-seasoned casks, chosen for their ability to impart rich, complex flavors. Each cask type was selected to contribute specific characteristics to the final blend, ensuring a well-rounded and multi-layered profile.
