ROBERT PARKER ” Limpid ruby. The nose is much fuller than the Vosne-Romanee with a definite hedgerow nose. Then notes of strawberry and tar begin to evolve. Quite complex for Echezeaux. The palate has good weight with fine balance. Beautiful sweet core of cherry and strawberry, but not DRC’s usual silky texture – this has a rustic edge to it. A little tar on the finish. A very impressive Echezeaux. Tasted February 2005. “
